Our New Home

In December right before baby is due we're moving into this lovely 3 bedroom home. Our current place only has 2 bedrooms which leaves no room for guests and no room for a nursery. I couldnt be happier with this place. You walk in and it feels like home. Wish we were moving in sooner :)

Banana-Mango Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup
     cubed peeled ripe mango
  • 3/4 cup sliced ripe banana (about 1 medium)
  • 2/3 cup fat-free milk
  • 1 tablespoon nonfat dry milk (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  1. Arrange the mango cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet; freeze until firm (about 1 hour). Place frozen mango and the remaining ingredients in a blender. Process until smooth.
Note:
Freeze the cubed mango overnight in an airtight container to make this smoothie a snap to throw together (for variety, try substituting frozen berries for the mango). Remember to let frozen mango thaw for 15 minutes to soften slightly. The dry milk is optional, but one tablespoon provides about 100 milligrams of calcium.

I find that smoothies are awesome for an in between meal snack and can be really good for you at the same time. For an extra boost of Iron add a little spinach to your mix.

Randoms

Today was quite a busy day for me. I get up drop Mimi to school then the 2nd most important thing is that I have breakfast. I am a MONSTER when I don't eat by 9am. So me and Ricci stopped over to a little restaurant and had a fabulous breakfast by the water.

This morning like most mornings I had 2 scrambled eggs with cheese, crispy bacon, pancakes, fruit and an orange juice. Breakfast happens to be my favorite meal of the day right now. I could care less what I have for lunch of dinner, give me a big breakfast and I'm a happy pregnant person.

Any way my moms getting married next week in Antigua and I picked up my bridesmaid dress from the seamstress and I'm beyond amazed with how great it fits. I'm my moms MOH so I was a little nervous about how big I would be and how great the dress would fit.
Thats me!!! 5 Months pregnant in a mermaid gown!!! Who knew ;)

Couldnt end the day off without stop for some much needed snacks aka candy. I have a major sweet tooth these days mainly for chewy fruity candies. Heres what I picked up.

One is an Australian brand of licorice and the other from the US. DELICIOUS!!
